BLOOM, 2019

Nottingham Trent University
Ceramic, plaster, wood, steel, rachet strap, castors

This project places the infrastructures that we encounter in and around the spaces we inhabit in the center. These are built networks that facilitate the flow and circulation of energy and ideas generating modern condicions of everyday life.

Familiar objects such as pipes, plugs, lights and other have been removed from their purpose and placed on the floor awaiting to be performed within the space. A turned architectural surface stands still within the space and the different components of the making process such a the moulds, profiles and casts are exposed together. The viewer is invited to reflect on the meaning, function and making process of objects that surround us in our daily lifes.
